Fairmont Hot Springs & Columbia Lake OCP

Welcome to the source for information about the Fairmont Hot Springs & Columbia Lake Area Official Community Plan (OCP) Process.  The current Fairmont Hot Springs OCP was adopted in 2004 and has been amended 27 times. The Fairmont Hot Springs & Columbia Lake Area OCP process will engage the community on current land use issues and result in the creation of land use policies which reflect a current vision for the future.  An updated policy framework will also promote greater certainty in land use decision making by the Regional District Board.


Open House & Comment Period

Over the fall and winter of 2016/17 we’ve been taking the information you provided us through the survey, community planning workshops, and stakeholder meetings and put together a draft Fairmont Hot Springs and Columbia Lake OCP. Now it’s time to share the draft OCP with you and get your feedback.
We will be hosting an Open House on April 13th where we will present the draft OCP, hand out copies, discuss parts of the plan and answer questions. We hope to have the draft plan on this website at the end of March or beginning of April.
We realize that there is a lot of information in the plan, so want to give you plenty of time to look it over and ask us questions after the Open House. The public comment period will be open until June 2, 2017. You can comment by clicking the link below and following the prompts, or contact me personally via e-mail or phone to share your comments.
