How To Request to Present at Board

If you would like to appear as a delegation (make a presentation) to a specific Committee or to the entire Board, requests must be made in advance to the Corporate Officer, Shannon Moskal.

Requests must be made in writing and can be dropped off, mailed, faxed or emailed. All requests must also include the following information:

  1. The topic on which the delegation wishes to speak;
  2. An executive summary or outline of the presentation to be made;
  3. The name of the designated speaker(s); and
  4. The specific action which is being requested of the Board or Committee
  5. Whether or not you will require use of audio / visual equipment.  (Note: for more on the audio/visual equipment we have available, please refer to the link called "Audio / Visual Aids").

Your written request must be submitted no later than noon on the Friday preceding the scheduled meeting.  Please specify if you would prefer addressing a specific Committee (meetings held on Thursdays), the Board (Friday morning), or both a Committee and the Board.

Final approval to accept your delegation is made by the Board.  This happens at the beginning of the meeting by way of Board resolution.  When you arrive at the meeting, there will be a seat reserved for you in the gallery.

You will be given a maximum of 10 minutes to make a presentation, and there will be time afterwards for questions from the Directors.

The public gallery may not engage in questions or a debate.

The public is not permitted access into the Directors' area of the Board Room and you are asked to remain in the gallery prior to and following the meeting.
