The East Kootenay Energy Diet (EKED) has been officially launched for another year!
The EKED is a program that helps residents of the East Kootenay save energy, emissions and money through home renovations.
Home owners in the East Kootenay have a second chance to sign up for an EnerGuide Home Evaluation* at a reduced cost, and receive one-on-one assistance to access rebates and incentives for eligible energy efficient home renovations. Almost 200 homeowners in the East Kootenay took advantage of this opportunity in 2013. New this year, East Kootenay residents that heat with propane or heating oil may be eligible for incentives to help reduce their energy costs.
