Job Postings:

Under the supervision of the Solid Waste Superintendent, the Operations Maintenance Worker performs maintenance of the solid waste facilities.

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Administrative Secretary has responsibility for receptionist and cash handling duties and provides administrative and clerical support to the HR department.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (“DCFO”), the Accounting Manager position provides general accounting services and grant administration and prepares operating and capital budgets and tax requisitions. This position includes the supervision of various staff in the Finance Department. The work performed requires significant knowledge of local government accounting principles along with firsthand experience in maintaining a computerized financial management system. The employee in this position exercises considerable independent judgment and initiative within a framework of established policies and procedures.

Summer Student Postings:

Under the supervision of the Utilities Manager, the Administrative Summer Student has primary responsibility for the receptionist and cashier duties by greeting walk-in visitors, answering and directing incoming phone calls and responding to public inquiries as well as providing administrative support to the RDEK Columbia Valley office. This position is open to students enrolled in a post-secondary institution and planning to return to school in the fall.

The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) is looking for an individual to represent Electoral Area C as a Trustee on the Cranbrook Public Library Board.

To be considered for the position, an applicant must be a resident or elector of Electoral Area C and cannot be an employee or a director of the RDEK or an employee of the Cranbrook Public Library. This volunteer position is for a term ending December 31, 2027.
