Building Inspector -  Columbia Valley
Reporting to the Building & Protective Services Manager, the Building Inspector is responsible for reviewing commercial and residential building plans, performing inspections and issuing building permits to comply with applicable bylaws, codes and regulations.

Area G - Advisory Planning Commission / Electoral Area Advisory Commission Member
The RDEK is looking for an additional member for the Electoral Area G Advisory Planning Commission (APC) and Electoral Area Advisory Commission (EAAC).  As a member of the commissions you will have an opportunity to provide advice and recommendations on:

  • Development applications, such as rezoning and development variance permits;
  • Provincial referrals, such as tenure applications and road closure applications;
  • Requests for funding through the Discretionary Grants-in-Aid Program;
  • Recognizing Community Volunteers; and,
  • Other matters that affect Electoral Area G.

Members of the commissions are appointed to both the APC and EAAC.  Applicants must be a resident or property owner within Electoral Area G.
