Applications are one of the important tools that the Regional District uses to evaluate proposed projects and make land use decisions.
This page includes a number of applications and guidelines to help you begin the process.
Applications Made to the RDEK
Common Application Types:
- Development Permit
- Development Variance Permit
Fire Separation Handout - Rezoning & OCP Bylaw Amendments
- Temporary Residence for Relative Requiring Care
- Site Specific Floodplain Exemption
- Campground Permit (including expansion of existing campgrounds)
- Liquor & Cannabis Licencing
- Short-term Rental Temporary Use Permit
Less Common Application Types:
- Permit for new or expanded Mobile Home Park
- Strata Conversion
- Temporary Use Permit (except short-term Rental)
- Board of Variance
- Reconsideration
- ALR Exclusion - Private Landowners
- Covenant Release or Modification

- Agricultural Land Commission Online Application Portal - The Application Portal will provide a streamlined web-based application process for applicants, local governments, and the public.
