Applications are one of the important tools that the Regional District uses to evaluate proposed projects and make land use decisions.

This page includes a number of applications and guidelines to help you begin the process.  

Applications Made to the RDEK

Common Application Types:

• Development Permit
• Development Variance Permit
          Fire Separation Handout
• Rezoning & OCP Bylaw Amendments
• Temporary Residence for Relative Requiring Care
• Site Specific Floodplain Exemption
• Campground Permit (including expansion of existing campgrounds)
• Liquor & Cannabis Licencing
• Short-term Rental Temporary Use Permit

Less Common Application Types:

• Permit for new or expanded Mobile Home Park
• Strata Conversion
• Temporary Use Permit (except short-term Rental)
• Board of Variance
• Reconsideration
• ALR Exclusion - Private Landowners
• Covenant Release or Modification
