UPDATE: 4:15pm SEPT.20.21
There is currently a system-wide outage on the Holland Creek Water System as the Kinbasket Water & Sewer Company works to complete repairs on its water system. The work is taking longer to complete than originally anticipated and the contractor hopes water service can be restored by 9pm tonight.
BOIL WATER NOTICE - IN EFFECT STARTING SEPT.20.21
As a result of the required work, once service has been restored, effective Monday,September 20, 2021 a Boil Water Notice will be in effect for the Holland Creek Water System until the required lab results are confirmed. Water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making juice or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least ONE MINUTE.
We will notify the community with a poster at the Rec Centre, via our Holland Creek Email Group and on other Water Quality Notices page once the Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
The community is supplied with potable water by Kinbasket Water & Sewer Company (KWSC). Well source water is chlorinated to protect against contamination within the distribution system should it become compromised. Water is metered by KWSC before entering Holland Creek. The system contains one PRV station which is located just prior to the first connection.
