Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena (EMMA)

The RDEK owns and operates one arena - the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena, which is located at 502-13th Street in Invermere.  The Arena is home to the Columbia Valley Rockies of the KIJHL, along with a number of minor and recreational hockey programs, figure skating and public skating programs.

COVID-19 Operations

*UPDATE* Due to the recent Provincial Update on December 17th, 2021, Eddie Mountain Arena staff will be checking all Public Skaters for a valid Vaccine Passport QR code which will be scanned at the door. According to the PHO, current restrictions will be re-evaluated after January 31st, 2022

Ice Booking Procedures:

To book the facility or inquire about ice time rentals, you can contact Colin Peet at 250-342-6712 or through email at cpeet@rdek.bc.ca

Note: All youth private rentals must stay under the 50-person occupancy limit and require a Covid-19 Safety Plan accompanied with their Use of Space application and certificate of insurance. There will be no private adult rentals for the time being.

1.   Check online schedule for a desirable open ice time. See calendar below.
2.   Complete the “One time Use Application” and email to the Arena Manager cpeet@rdek.bc.ca

  • Note: Users can also request a word version of the application.

3.   Provide certificate of insurance.

  • Note: insurance requirements are listed on the Use of Space application.

4.   Make a 25% deposit to the Arena Manager. Payment options include cash or cheque.
5.   Once the manager has received the Use of Space application and certificate of insurance, the ice times will be posted on the calendar. 

  • Note: Cancellations must be made within 96 hours of ice time for deposit to be returned.

Applications and Forms:

Public Skating

All skaters must pre-register before skating. There will be no drop-ins permitted this season. Arena Attendant will ask for your name upon arrival to check that you are on the season’s pass list. If you have not purchased a season’s pass, you will not be on the list and cannot enter the facility. To purchase an annual, please contact the Manager on duty.

Skating will run Monday and Wednesday from 11:45am – 12:45pm and Friday from 11:45am – 1:15pm unless there is a scheduling conflict. Additional public skating times will be added throughout the season. All public skating times will be updated on the calendar below.
