The Columbia Valley Rural Fire and Rescue Service (CVFRS) provides fire protection and rescue services to the citizens within four Fire Protection Services Areas.  Our four paid-on-call Fire Departments include:

• Windermere (main station)
• Fairmont
• Edgewater
• Panorama  

While there are four separate Fire Halls, we often work together during training events and incidents.

Our firefighters receive payment for attending regular, scheduled practices and responding to alarms.The services provided by CVFRS may include some or all of the following disciplines:

• Structural fire protection
• Vehicle extrication & fire protection
• Medical first responder service
• Wildland & urban interface fire support
• Hazardous materials response
• Technical Rescue Services such as; Rope, Swift/Flat water, Ice, Confined Space, etc.
