After several months of consultation, the RDEK will be presenting the draft Panorama and Area Official Community Plan (OCP) to the public next month.
“We have received feedback from the community from our open houses, two surveys, workshops and online engagement tools and all of the feedback provided has been compiled and considered in the preparation of the draft OCP,” says Electoral Area F Director Susan Clovechok.
A summary of the recent survey results is posted on engage.rdek.bc.ca.
The next step in the process will be a third open house, where the draft Official Community Plan will be presented. “We are hoping the community continues to stay engaged and will join us at the upcoming open house to review the draft plan and to provide continued feedback,” adds Clovechok.
The open house will be held December 30, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Panorama Fire Hall. “We recognize there is varied ownership within the plan area and that many property owners live outside the area, so we are hoping that by holding the open house at the end of December, many of those owners will be able to attend in person,” adds Clovechok.
For those that are not able to attend, all of the information that will be presented at the open house will be posted on the Panorama & Area OCP Project Page on engage.rdek.bc.ca and share via the RDEK’s Panorama email group.
The OCP planning process kicked off earlier this past spring and is expected to be complete by mid-2020.
