Family Day Closures

RDEK transfer stations and landfills will be closed on February 19 for Family Day. This is one of only five days out of the year that our facilities are closed, so we wanted people to be aware to plan accordingly. If you’re planning on doing a clean-up this weekend, please make a trip to your local transfer station or landfill on Saturday or Sunday.

The closures include the Invermere, Kimberley, Cranbrook, Fernie, Sparwood, and Elkford transfer stations and the Columbia Valley and Central Subregion landfills.

Our offices in both Cranbrook and the Columbia Valley will also be closed on Monday. All facilities will reopen on Tuesday, February 20.
