RDEK Information Meetings and Volunteer of the Year Celebrations on the Way

The Regional District of East Kootenay will be hosting a series of information meetings in the coming weeks in five Electoral Areas.

“These meetings are a valuable way for residents to learn more about current projects and we encourage everyone to take part and gain a better understanding of how the 2026 budget breaks down in their area,” says RDEK Communications Manager Loree Duczek. “In addition, some of the evenings will include a presentation to the Electoral Area Volunteers of the Year, so we are looking forward to a good turnout.” 

Following the formal presentations, the evening will transition into an open house format, featuring a variety of stations dedicated to specific projects and services.

The meetings will begin at 7 pm and the dates are as follows:

• June 3:           Electoral Area B – Jaffray Community Hall
• June 9:           Electoral Area G* – Edgewater Community Hall
• June 15:         Electoral Area E – Wasa Community Hall
• June 18:         Electoral Area F* – Windermere Community Hall
• June 23:         Electoral Area A* – Hosmer Community Hall

*Includes a Volunteer of the Year presentation.
