Slight Delays on Elk Valley Transit Route Today

The Elk Valley transit system is experiencing minor delays on route 41 this afternoon after the BC Transit bus lost traction this morning and got stuck in a snowbank on Dicken Road near Fernie.

There were fortunately no injuries to the roughly 40 passengers and driver on board. Students on board were picked up by parents in 4WD vehicles and transported to school.

The bus was pulled free around 11am by a tow truck and is now back delivering service.
